2024 Board
HOON LEE
Head Director, Vice President
Hoon is a sophomore majoring in Economics with minors in Consumer Psychology and Fine Arts. Throughout his life, Hoon has lived in five different places around the world. Since 2020, he has been actively involved in W-KUBS and BBB, where he has served as a team mentor, staff member, and director of BBB 2023. Apart from BBB, Hoon also holds the position of treasurer at W-KUBS, leads a team in Moso Capital (a student-run venture program), and is an active participant in the Wharton Investment Trading Group Energy team and Wharton Impact Venture Associates. Hoon has gained valuable experience in Venture Capital and Growth Equity, particularly in the TMT and Consumer & Retail sectors. Additionally, Hoon is an experienced photographer with over 40 gigs under his belt.
SUNG CHO
Administrative Director
Sung is a freshman from Seoul studying Finance and Statistics. Outside W-KUBS, Sung is an active member of Wharton Investment & Trading Group, Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club, Wharton Asia Investments, Wharton Hedge Fund Club, Violet Quaker Group, Moso Capital, and Joseph Wharton Scholar. This past summer, he worked as an investment banking analyst at Mirae Asset Securities and a research analyst at Boston Consulting Group. He also served as a military interpreter in the ROK-U.S. Combined Forces Command. In his free time, Sung loves bartending, enjoying tennis and billiards, playing the bass guitar, and showing up to rock n roll concerts.
JISOO KIM
Administrative Director
Jisoo is a freshman from Seoul studying finance and management. Jisoo serves as a Director of the Business Black Box at Wharton Korea Undergraduate Business Society and is also actively involved in Wharton Global Research and Consulting (GRC), Wharton Asia Exchange (WAX), and the Assembly of International Students (AIS). Jisoo’s interests include consulting, retail, and fashion design, and in her free time, she likes to dance, play volleyball, or go cafe hopping.
JULIA IM
Administrative Director
Julia is a freshman from Los Angeles studying Economics and Design. She is the Marketing and Administrative Director for Business Black Box at Wharton Korea Undergraduate Business Society. Outside of BBB, Julia is also involved in consulting at Penn Social Entrepreneurship Movement (PennSEM), the Walk as part of the finance committee, and as a Project Leader in the digital team at Marketing Undergraduate Student Establishment (MUSE). In her free time, she enjoys drawing and visiting museums around Philadelphia and New York City.
IRENE LEE
Design Director
Irene is a freshman from California studying Neuroscience and Design. She is the Design Director for Business Black Box at Wharton Korea Undergraduate Business Society. Outside of W-KUBS, she serves as the marketing director of t-art magazine, ICA Student Board, research assistant at Arcaro Lab, designer at TedXPenn, Silverman Fellows, the WALK, and WUHC, and is involved in Creative & Digital Committees at Marketing Undergraduate Student Establishment (MUSE) and innovation lab of the Daily Pennsylvanian. In her free time, Irene loves traveling, shopping, film photography, and oil painting.
KATIE YOO
Marketing Director
Katie is a freshman from Seoul studying Criminology and Consumer Psychology. She is the Marketing Director for Business Black Box at Wharton Korea Undergraduate Business Society. Outside of BBB, she serves as the chair of International Mentorship and Orientation committee at Assembly of International Students (AIS), event coordinator at Community School Student Partnership (CSSP), and is actively involved in the conference and internal teams at Marketing Undergraduate Student Establishment (MUSE). In her free time, Katie loves to journal, paint, play soccer, and watch rom-com movies!
DAWI BONG
Marketing Director
Dawi is a freshman from Los Angeles, California studying PPE and HSOC. He is the Marketing and Social Director for Business Black Box at Wharton Undergraduate Business Society. Outside of W-KUBS, he serves as part of the finance board in Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club and a part of the case team for Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club. In his free time, Dawi enjoys boxing, hitting the gym, surfing, cooking, and traveling.
